Tri-State Indie coverage on Bernie Worrell Orchestra show @ Ardmore Music Hall

Check out a little write up in the Tri-State Indie Music show coverage of the show we played on 7-24-14 at the Ardmore Music Hall in Philly opening for Gent Treadly & The Bernie Worrell Orcestrea.  It was a great night, and we had a little set back with our van situation.  We did what we know how to do best, we improvised a whole set going the semi acoustic route.  Instead of Mike Panella bringing his B3 and Leslie set up, he bought an even more heavy Toy Piano, and a Melodica, Mike Frank and Todd Lanka endured with a acoustic guitar and stand up bass.  Todd also had to have the cello for “Visions” which sounded great, and Mikeo bought a light percussion set up.  Doctor….well, he wasn’t very happy when he heard we made a last minute switch to acoustic, but he still got to play a full drum kit, and we stumbled on to something pretty interesting as we all listened back on the ride home.  Steve-o had a smile after the set.  It just goes to show, that a little improvisation goes a long way, so don’t fret when faced with a van malfunction, just grab acoustics.  Check out the article, and we hope to come back to Philly after we burn a new record this fall!  Have fun and be safe.
